If your clicking, tapping, sliding, swooshing fingers have brought you here over the expanse of the internet then there is a chance that you already know who I am. If not, my name is Philip Poots and this website is an outlet for some creative thoughts about faith and life.
I hope that you can connect with some of the thoughts here and please do feel free to contact me.
I’m from a place called Lisburn in Northern Ireland and currently serving as an assistant minister in Newmills Presbyterian Church outside Portadown.
My life revolves around trying to love God and love His people, and having some quirky interests and hobbies along the way.
In some way this blog might come across as a vanity project but the hope is that it will help anyone who visits to think with a different, and preferably theological and gospel, perspective.
What I can probably guarantee is that:
- For an English graduate there will be grammatical, syntactical, semantic and spelling mistakes.
- For a Philosophy graduate there will be leaps in logic.
- For a Theology graduate there will be no perfect theology.
- For a wannabe Pastor there might be things said too harshly with too much head and not enough heart.
But maybe as I make those mistakes and you walk with me, through all of my cracks and imperfections, you might better see Jesus, love Him more and walk with Him more closely.
Best and blessings,
